During the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarter-final on Monday, 28 November, opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad hit seven successive sixes, smashing a List-A cricket record.

• In the Vijay Hazare trophy, R.Gaikwad punished Uttar Prades's bowler Shiva Singh, as he lofted 7 sixes in a row - 6 6 6 6nb 6 6.                                                    
• As he hit 7 consecutive sixes in an over, Ruturaj Gaikwad became the first player in the history of white-ball cricket to achieve this feat.                                  
• R. Gaikwad had completed his tremendous conqueror innings on 220 in just 159 balls. His solid innings, filled with 10 fours and 16 sixes, helped his side to put in a big total of 330/5 in 50 overs.                                                                           
• Former Blackcaps wicketkeeper Lee Germon currently holds the record for most sixes in all forms of cricket during the 1989–90 season. He hit eight sixes in an over that contained 17 no-balls and cost 77 runs.

• The history of list A cricket record was crushed by R. Gaikwad's 43 runs most expensive over, and the last Record by Brett Hampton's 43 runs expensive over history in 2018.
